Tasty comfort food, nothing fancy here. Server was very kind, service was quick. I got a seafood stuffed baked potato with a side of green beans. I thought the potato would be like a side dish kind of thing but it was definitely a meal in itself. I will say that the au gratin sauce could be a bit much, but I liked it. Husband got shrimp and grits - the grits were pretty rich but we liked them - the whole dish was delicious. We also got a small shrimp po boy to share which was pretty good. Needless to say we ordered way too much food but it was all great!
We had gumbo, onion rings delicious. My husband had a delicious roast beef and a scoop of homemade potato salad. Nice little restaurant! Waitress very friendly.
Best breakfast spot on the Westbank! This is my new "go to" place for breakfast. Staff is attentive, friendly, and and competent. Food is well prepared and delicious. Prices are unbelievably inexpensive. Lunch menu looks promising as well.
Stopped in for a quick lunch during a work trip through Westwego. Delicious food and great service. Hole in the walls never disappoint! Fried shrimp was great, but the macaroni and cheese was my favorite!
We're in from out of state & staying on the NShore. We met up with 2 from E Bank & 2 from W Bank, (6 total) Good B'fast for all...my 1st time trying B'fast! We like WGxC so much, that after visiting with family, B4 heading to the NShore, we went back for supper! 2 bowls of Gumbo (chicken & seafood) served with potato salad & french bread...we also shared small onion rings. All was very good! Service also great! We highly recommend! I turned my friend from E Bank on to WGxC a couple of yrs ago & she stops in often when on the W Bank! Some of the best places to eat, in my opinion, are the smaller, low key places like WeGeaux Cafe...keep it up!!!😋
Nice little place with good comfort food and wonderful staff! I had Jambalaya with fried fish, husband the chicken tenders, kids a chili hot dog and cheeseburger. Everyone was happy with their food. It looks like it's pretty popular with the locals so you know it's good food.
Great local dive to go to with superfriendly staff and great freshly cooked food. Whenever we're in this area we make a point to stop there whether it's for breakfast or lunch.
First Time I have been to We Geaux Cafe.Went with 2 friends who have been before. Atmosphere was great.Food was Fresh Hot and Delicious. Our Waitress was Very Kind,Polite Respectful and ProfessionalDidn't get her name.She checked on us and gave us Refills.The Quality and Quantity of the food was on point.Definitley will be back.Thank you for a Good Experience. Loved my breakfast shrimp and cheese grits and Cajun potatoes. Along with the excellent service, it was exactly what I needed to start my day 💯
This is our third time going here. I've so far had their hamburger steak, crab and corn soup, and this time I ordered their eggplant parmesan (one of my favorite dishes). They give quite a good amount of food for the prices. It took me three meals to finish the parmesan. It's a good atmosphere to go out with family. My grandparents love it there and they are picky eaters. Friendly staff. Highly recommended for a casual dinner night.
